Are any of these thoughts holding you back from booking your session?
“Well, I can just take my own newborn photos…”
You absolutely can – and will – snap countless photos of your little one in the coming years. These images will rank among your family’s treasures!
However, there are a few things to consider; especially after a newborn the last thing you need to think or stress about is dressing your little baby in a tutu and headband to take a cute picture for her birth announcement. That’s where I come in. I come to your house, bring all my props, blankets and baskets and do all the work for you. You can comfortably sit back and relax, enjoy your cup of coffee and watch me photograph your precious baby. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event and by hiring me you ensure that the images don’t get “put off” when other concerns – like getting sleep – come up.
“There’s too much going on right now – I’ll do family portraits next summer!”
By next summer, those missing teeth will have grown in, Sarah will have gone up two shoe sizes, and Johnny will no longer be obsessed with his alligator hat. Now is the only time you have to capture these amazing kids just as they are.
And let’s be honest – it’s unlikely you’ll be any less busy next year than you are now. We’ll only have time for the things we decide to put first.
“I don’t think I have the money right now.”
Here’s some good news; I work with all budgets, all you have to do is ask! I also offer gift certificates. If you’re not sure what you want for your next birthday or Christmas? Ask for Devon Nicholls Photography Gift Certificates. I also give referral credits! Refer a family member or friend and when they book a full session, you get a $50 Gift Certificate. You can collect those until you have enough for a full session if you want!
I understand – we’ve all got limits on what we spend. My Mini Sessions ring in at $300 plus tax. My family portrait sessions can be as low as $425 total. I’m guessing you spend at least that on your cell phone bill in 6 months – only your pictures are keepsakes unlike that Motorola Razor flip phone.
